Food, celibacy ( Brahamcharya) and sleep are the three sub pillars which help to support our body. Among them food is considered as best . Food does not help only in keeping a person healthy but its tangible use helps to control various diseases. In Ayurveda all food substances have been categorized in twelve categories viz. – Grains, legumes, meat, vegetables, fruits, salad, alcoholic drinks, water, milk and its products, sugarcane and its products, dietary preparations and condiments.
